Our half-day Dumaguete trip was fun but we couldn't wait to get some serious beach action. Off we went to this fantastic resort after our sumptuous lunch at Sans Rival. From the city, it was just an easy 25-minute tricycle ride worth Php200.00.
As soon as we saw the resort, we instantly fell in love with the place. I also silently congratulated myself for finding this gem of a beach resort. Let me show you the beachfront room we got in Amontillado Resort.

Let me interrupt my Dumaguete stories with divine news.
This was how my conversation with a friend went the other day...
Me: Uy, I want chocolate.
Her: Eh, what type of chocolate?
Me: A mean dark chocolate something.
Her: Ooh, Chocolate Fire!
Me: Huh?
Her: Tara! Let's get some Chocolate Fire!
Me: Okay, sige.
I don't know what she was talking about but I went with her anyway. After we parked the car, we walked towards this building and there I saw it...
Chocolate Fire.

These are just some of the interesting information about Silliman University. The moment I saw the university grounds, the University of the Philippines instantly came into mind. The lush greens and gigantic trees, not to mention the old buildings, gave off that mysterious old world, old soul vibe.
We handed our IDs to the guard, who in turn handed us their visitor's pass, so we can freely wander inside the university.

Taking a stroll along Rizal Boulevard was very refreshing. Inasmuch as we want to stay and enjoy the sea breeze, we know that we want to see more of what Dumaguete has to offer. Since we do not exactly know how to go about the city to see the sights, we got us a tour guide. Meet Kuya Elmer.
For an affordable rate of Php250.00, Kuya Elmer gladly took us around town. His tricycle was surprisingly spacious inside with ample area to put in our backpacks.
