When I spent New Year of 2009 in Cebu City, I saw this gelato store at the Ayala Center. Too bad my itinerary was full that time so I wasn't able to pay the store a visit. Fortunately, I returned November of the same year and this time, I got to try the gelato everyone in Cebu is talking about.
Presenting...Gelatissimo.
Gelatissimo's award-winning gelato is Autralia's most popular gelato. What I like about this gelato store is the fact that they change their selections every now and then. They have such a wide variety of flavors to choose from- hazelnut, lemon, lime, coconut, vanilla, american chocolate, hawaiian coffee, profiterole, tiramisu, veronese chocolate, wild cherry amongst others. Name it, they usually have it.
Since they have more than a dozen of flavors, they allow taste tests. Just tell them what you like to try and they'll give you these plastic colorful spoons with the gelato flavor you want to sample.
They also have Bambino Cones. They are basically bite-sized cones with chocolate, vanilla, hazelnut and mango gelato dipped in chocolote coating.
As for me, I bought a cup of coffee and lemon gelato plus their Belgian Chocolate Milkshake.

Belgian Chocolate Milkshake and Coffee Gelato
When I saw the serving size of the gelato, I was bowled over. It was practically a tower. And as soon as I tasted that rich and smooth coffee flavor, I know that the price was worth it. Their milkshake didn't disappoint either. It was once of the richest milkshakes I've tasted.
By the way, I was walking around Greenbelt 5 last Saturday and saw a Gelatissimo branch overflowing with people on the 2nd floor. Glad to know they brought it here in Manila. *smile*
