Cebu City is "Foodie Heaven". The city never fails to satisfy me with their many restaurants, many scrumptious dishes, many interesting selections. And one restaurant that I keep on coming back to is Don Merto's. Located just beside Casa Escano, the restaurant is the place where guests can enjoy their lovely breakfast sets, their wonderful lunch dishes and their fabulous dinner fares. Since they told me that they already offer merienda, I excitedly tried and ordered some of the dishes on their merienda menu.
Ensaimada & Sikwate- Php55.00
Churros con Chocolate- Php35.00
I love their Sikwate! Sikwate is hot chocolate made from fresh tablea (pure cacao). The flavor of the cacao was undeniably rich. As for the Churros and Ensaimada, they definitely made my day. Brought me back to my childhood days where me and my Lola will often share these delightful merienda.
