On to my story...
We woke up very early the next day to meet with our tour guide who took us to the port to board the ferry to Macau. But unlike the rest of the people who took the tour package, we had the Free & Easy Package. It only means that we are not going to follow a tour guide and be dragged to various places of interest (which may not be my interest). We paid Grayline Tours for the Macau package about HKD760.00 for both me and Bespren. That's about Php5,624.00. Pretty fair enough price considering the nice ferry we took as well as the very nice tour guide we had.
After 2 hours, we were in Macau! It was sunny, sunny, sunny. The moment we set foot in Macau, we were left alone to fend for ourselves. It was such an adventure. We don't even know where to go. Well, I have ideas but no clue on how to get there. The first thing we did was ride the MGM bus which takes its passengers to the MGM hotel for free. We took the opportunity and enjoyed the ride.
Once we arrived at the MGM, we soaked in the beauty of Macau, not to mention the hot melting sun, by walking.
After much walking, we decided to check out The Venetian. I want to see the grandeur of the place and of course, the goldola. I considered it my preview to Venice. We were planning to take the bus but opted to take the cab instead.
15 minutes and HKD75.00 later, we found ourselves right in front of The Venetian.
Inasmuch as we want to stay longer at The Venetian, we can't wait to see the other sights of Macau. We took a cab ride back and asked the cab driver to drop us off at the Ruins of St. Paul Cathedral.
We continued walking towards Senado Square.
Such a lovely day. Soon, it was time to go.
I know you're wondering if we grabbed a bite in Macau. Food, up next!
Have a great week!
