With aching feet but high spirits, we made our way to Bubba Gump to grab dinner. Bespren was craving for mashed potato and I was craving for something familiar to my palate.
We were seated by the window which overlooks the harbour along with the pretty lights of the numerous buildings in Hong Kong. It was a sight to behold. As soon as the menu was handed to us, we immediately placed our orders. We were starving, not to mention the fact that we also wanted to get home early because we will have another long day tomorrow.
The food didn't take long to arrive. We only waited for a good 15 minutes.
Mama's Southern Fried Chicken- HKD138.00 (about Php1,021.20)
Captain's Fish & Chips- HKD108.00 (about Php799.20)
Nothing spectacular about the food. The fried chicken was between tender and tough. Maybe it's because the chicken was left too long in the deep fryer. Same goes with the Mahi-Mahi fish fillet I ordered. It didn't take long before my fish fillets were almost rock hard and became rather difficult for me to eat. Bespren liked the salty mashed potato since she's into salty food. The only thing I liked about what I ordered was the tartar sauce that went with the fish.
As I've said, nothing spectacular. Well, I am never a fan of Bubba Gump, even here in MNL, in the first place. I just thought that maybe HK will make me change my mind. But it didn't.
