My first Monday of January 2009 was a complete frenzy. I arrived from my almost 2-week holiday vacation on a Saturday evening and started to unpack. Then I began packing the next day because I had to fly to Davao City on a Monday and stay there for a week. But I wasn't complaining. Life is all about new experiences. And Davao City was definitely a new experience because it was my first time to smell the Durian-scented air of Davao.
After my 2-hour flight and a cup of coffee from the airline, I went to my hotel to freshen up and headed to the streets of Davao City looking for a nice place to get some nourishment- good food + good coffee. and that's when I discovered Caffee Firenzo.
When I saw the sign that says Lavazza, I immediately made my way to Caffe Firenzo. I know for a fact that I will be served good Italian coffee. So I got their Cafe Mocha plus other items on their menu.
As expected the coffee was good. The pizza, on the other hand, was surprisingly good. The crust was crunchy, the cheese was just light and complemented well with the saltiness of the pepperoni. Now about the thick bacon...it actually won me over! The bacon was absolutely meaty with its divine smoky flavor. And for its price, it was a good deal.
It's no The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf but Caffe Firenzo is good enough for me. And oh, before I forget, Caffe Firenzo offers FREE WIFI! *woot*
