To all of my friends who are constantly reading my entries, they are aware that I am a certified The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (CBTL) fanatic. And, you might find it funny or not, but one of my greatest dreams is to visit CBTL in West Hollywood, California. Well, since I am not yet that close to sipping a Moroccan Mint Tea Latte in the Land of the Free, I am making it a point to scour this country to visit CBTL's other branches. Since I have visited all (and I mean ALL) stores here in Luzon, it's high time for me to see if they've added stores in Cebu City. The last time I went to Cebu, I had the chance to drop by CBTL's branch in I.T. Park in Lahug.
As I entered the beautiful grounds of Ayala Center Cebu's The Terraces, I was ecstatic to see a CBTL store just beside its entrance. Sweet! Before I knew it, my friend and I were already sitting comfortably and enjoying our cups of hot beverages.
Plus some pastries.
Since I am a big lover of dark chocolates, the Sugar Free Mousse was my favorite because of its bittersweet taste. The mini cup of what seemed like Leche Flan has that gelatinous consistency. The egg mixed in the flan was so pronounced that I felt like eating a raw egg smothered with caramelized sugar. In short, I didn't quite like it. As for the Tiramisu, I liked the fact that I could taste the liqueur and the espresso. Although not the best Tiramisu I've tasted but it's nice enough to order.
Oh by the way, I've also visited 3 CBTL shops in Kuala Lumpur.
How about you? You fancy any coffee shops?
