A NICE LUNCH WITH MY BESPREN AND PIA Y DAMASO

I was so happy to get an SMS from bespren yesterday.

Finally, we both found the time to spend a nice lunch together (after a couple of months of not seeing each other) at Restaurante Pia Y Damaso.

We were both happy to see each other that it took us more than 10 minutes to place our orders. It was challenging to excitedly chat about what's new with your life and read the menu at the same time.

Finally, I got Lengua and she had Callos.

Lengua Sevillana- Php460.00

Callos- Php300.00

The moment I took a bite of the Lengua, my eyes lit up and my lips formed a smile. It was delightfully delicious. I loved the way the tender ox tongue felt in my mouth along with the flavors of the mushrooms and green olives. It was one of those dishes that can definitely make your lunch a happy meal. The Callos was also good but I love Terry's version better.

Since we don't want to end our lunch yet because there were still a lot of girl things to talk about, we got desserts from their vast cake selection.

I got the chocolate cake and she had the cheesecake.

Wicked Simoun- Php220.00

Sisa's Dementia- Php160.00

The cheesecake with Bailey's Irish Cream was true to its name- Wicked. The creaminess of the cake plus the bittersweet morsels of chocolate in between were enough to make us squeal with delight. As for my pick, the truffle cake with the dark chocolate ganache made me crazier and more demented than Sisa. It was Fantastic in a slice.

The lunch took 2 hours to complete and we didn't notice that we've been endlessly chatting for that long a time.
