TAGAYTAY SUNDAY WITH JOSEPHINE AND TONTON
the last time i went to Tagaytay was January 2007 with my family. we stuffed ourselves with good food in Leslie's and ended the perfect day with nice desserts at Cafe Breton and Fruits in Ice Cream. after almost 4 months of not paying the place a visit, who wouldn't miss it? so jeddokun and i decided to spend a relaxing Sunday in Tagaytay.
we arrived in Tagaytay around 5pm. the sun was on its way to bid us goodnight. since it was a cool night, we wanted to eat al fresco. what better way to enjoy the night but to have a quiet dinner at Josephine. it was 1998, i can clearly remember, when i first visited Josephine. it was, then, one of the few good restaurants in the area. i instantly fell in love with the place, the food and the service. since then, i've been waiting for that perfect opportunity to go back to Josephine again.
once seated, we already knew what we wanted to order. nothing elaborate, nothing fancy, just comfort, good food. *smile*
even though it was a bit chilly, i went for their Dalandan Shake.
our friendly and attentive server even helped us by putting soup in our bowls.
while eating dinner al fresco, this is our view. we could even see the bright signs of the establishments near The Cliffhouse.
after our hearty meal and many interesting conversations later, we agreed to go to TonTon to get a good Thai massage. of course, i took photos of the beautiful restaurant before we completely left.
i also took notice of their indoor water feature.
when i reached the main entrance, i noticed the fog that seemed to envelope the whole of Tagaytay.
then we headed straight to TonTon Massage near the Tagaytay Rotonda. we were so happy when we saw that the place is open from 12pm-1am everyday. i checked my watch and saw that it was only 8:30pm. we went through Ralph's Wine Depot's entrance and went downstairs to get to TonTon Massage's door. as soon as we entered the place, we were welcomed with a soothing music and a cozy dimly lit room. i got a full body massage for 1.5 hours for Php450.00 and jeddokun got a back massage for 1.5 hours for Php450.00.
we were asked to take our shoes off so we can soak them in lukeward water. after soaking our feet, they wiped them dry, took us to our massage beds and asked us to change into their pajamas for a more comfy massage experience. we willingly obliged and before we knew it, we were almost dozing off because of the relaxing and therapeutic Thai massage.
we finished at exactly 10:30pm and as soon as got our rejuvenated bodies out of the building, we decided to end our night with a cup of coffee at Figaro.
by 2am, it was home sweet home. *zzzzzz*
