After a tiring and sweaty but fun day in Macau, we headed to the Victoria Harbour to watch the Symphony of Lights. The play of lights along with the music was breathtaking and just wonderful!
I was still in admiration when the 15-minute show ended. Had it not been for our busy itinerary, I'd gladly come back every night just to see the show. And even after the show, we stayed a bit to admire the beauty of HK's city landscape.

Since we took the Macau Day Tour, we never had that much time to sample the array of food that Macau has to offer. But we still found the time to satisfy our tummies.
Let me share 'em with you.
a.) For breakfast, we had the ever-reliable McDonald's!

I'm back!
On to my story...
We woke up very early the next day to meet with our tour guide who took us to the port to board the ferry to Macau. But unlike the rest of the people who took the tour package, we had the Free & Easy Package. It only means that we are not going to follow a tour guide and be dragged to various places of interest (which may not be my interest). We paid Grayline Tours for the Macau package about HKD760.00 for both me and Bespren. That's about Php5,624.00. Pretty fair enough price considering the nice ferry we took as well as the very nice tour guide we had.

After 2 hours, we were in Macau! It was sunny, sunny, sunny. The moment we set foot in Macau, we were left alone to fend for ourselves. It was such an adventure. We don't even know where to go. Well, I have ideas but no clue on how to get there. The first thing we did was ride the MGM bus which takes its passengers to the MGM hotel for free. We took the opportunity and enjoyed the ride.

With aching feet but high spirits, we made our way to Bubba Gump to grab dinner. Bespren was craving for mashed potato and I was craving for something familiar to my palate.
We were seated by the window which overlooks the harbour along with the pretty lights of the numerous buildings in Hong Kong. It was a sight to behold. As soon as the menu was handed to us, we immediately placed our orders. We were starving, not to mention the fact that we also wanted to get home early because we will have another long day tomorrow.
The food didn't take long to arrive. We only waited for a good 15 minutes.

Mama's Southern Fried Chicken- HKD138.00 (about Php1,021.20)

Hi friends!
It's
been a while since I last posted. No worries because I am now here to
make it up to all of you. Let's continue on with our adventure.
After our hearty meal at Tsui Wah Restaurant,
we went to our first "tourist" attraction for that day- the Sky
Terrace and Madame Tussauds Max Museum. Since we vowed not to take the
taxi, we consulted our ever-reliable map and the visitor's kit.
"Take the Peak Tram from the Lower Peak Tram Terminus on
Garden Road. If you're taking the MTR, walk from MTR Central
Station and exit J2."

Have you ever experienced being overwhelmed by just looking at a menu of a restaurant? Overwhelmed because it seemed like almost all of the world's different cuisines are on it. Overwhelmed because there might be about a hundred or so names of various dishes on the menu that it felt like you're reading a book.
Well, I felt that when we dined at Tsui Wah Restaurant.
I learned that Tsui Wah Restaurant used to be a small tea cafe but has grown over the years and now has numerous branches in different parts of Hong Kong. It's open 24 hours for those who would like to get a good meal at any given time of the day.
Before entering the restaurant, I already prepared myself for another Point and Show. I know that servers in most restaurants can't understand English so it's best to just point and show the server the item you'd like to get. The place was packed and buzzing with diners because it was still lunchtime. My eyes flew everywhere because I wanted to see what everyone's ordering. It's a good trick if you do not want to make any mistakes in what you're about to order. Once seated, we studied the menu handed to us which took us about 10 years to finish. LOL. Good thing they also have photos of their dishes on the glass table. Thank heavens for photos.
